How we make money

The gap we have to design around
The commissions in this category are lopsided. MYOB pays A$115 to A$185 per paid subscription; Xero pays nothing. Zeller pays A$40 to A$80 per merchant; Tyro, Stripe, SumUp and the banks pay nothing. A site that ranked on commission would recommend MYOB and Zeller to everyone.
So we do not rank on commission. Terminals are ranked on what they cost at your turnover and card mix, using published fees. Accounting and payroll software is recommended on fit: who your bookkeeper uses, your payroll size, the bank feeds you need. Where the right answer for a reader is a provider that pays us nothing, the page says so and links to it anyway.
